Outstanding and informative read by Christopher Klein! Combine the American Civil War with many Irish soldiers on both sides of the conflict and the British suppression of Ireland and it's a freedom march. An excellent work depicting the internal infighting of the Irish cause, the battle plan directed to Britain by an intruder, a British spy; and Canada's determination to end the conflict. This work will engage the reader with Irish prose and will.

Enjoyed this book chronicling a rarely mentioned period of American History as well as the Irish experience in America - as well as the impact on modern Irish history. The book is well written and interesting for anyone interested in history in general and the unknown periods of American history that this kind of book has been overlooked in history books.
