Stay Low, Go Fast Kill First, Die Last. One Shot, One Kill T-Shirt

A brilliant, wonderful piece in which journalist and Wallace Terry advocate collect the oral histories of 20 black men who served in Vietnam. In doing so, he captures the important voices and stories of a group of soldiers that are often overlooked, despite sharing similar experiences of racism, yet presenting many different backgrounds. geographic background, military experience, and war attitudes. The men depicted here often recount devastating truths — including some of the most unrefined and disturbing descriptions of bodily harm I have encountered in the literature — and many Their stories are not particularly happy ones (for some, returning to America after the war gave the whole new struggle). But dotted within them are moments of triumph that raise expectations and insights that are at the heart of what these men have seen and experienced and endured. This book is a real deal and a must-read for anyone interested in the Vietnam War.

This is really well researched and done. I have no opinion on this. It felt like an Irishman was constantly stepping on each other. The worst part is, in many cases, they put the rakes there in the first place.

Irish Americans a year after the Civil War invaded Canada and tried to take it hostage until Britain liberated Ireland. A somewhat crazy story but true.
